Root Canal and the battle with my yard

So for those who have been following my tweets, my mouth has been a cesspool for evil bacteria due to a botched root canal i had over 5 years ago all week long. Too much drinking in college most likely the culprit of the initial canal but I am now more responsible and adult-like...well i don't drink as much as I did back then. Anyways my mouth has swollen up so bad that it affected my speech as well as make me look like a world series slugger with a pound of Big Red in his left gum...pleasant imagery huh. After a few days of suffering with the aid of some heavy doses of penicillin and 500mg of Motrin. I was able to grab a appointment today to have my mouth and head jack hammered into.

I had to go to a specialist to have it reroot canaled out. Lots of fun. Thank fully they provided nifty sun glasses to block the glare of their lamp and I was able to listen to my ipod while the whole thing was going on. So i also gave me a opportunity to catch on some podcast like Zen Tri and Stay Tuned Report. Great cast check them out.

Now, I never was fond of the dentist but my latest dentist has changed my whole perspective on the industry. Like chiropractors there are so really good one and then there are hacks. I hacked it up from my early year until my mid 20s. Now I am all smiles with my current one...yeah I know its cheesy but give me a break I am running on a few hours of sleep. Anyway, I figured I would give this specialist a shot b/c my dentist recommended him. I am glad I listened. He shot me up with enough novicain that you could have it me in the face with a mallet and i wouldn't have felt anything. He was so good that I actually fell asleep for a second while he was drilling...yeah he was that good. Everything was over in a mere hour and a half and I was on my way.
I still have to make another appointment to get a the old crown removed and a newone place on. All in all about 5 ours in the hair but at least I don't feel like a squirrel carrying one to many acorns in his cheek.

As for training, I am revising a schedule and hopefully get to ride this weekend and hope I can get more time in the pool as well.

I did get a workout somewhat yesterday push my old lawnmower over the foot high grassland i call my yard. I haven't been able to sculp it down for at least 2 weeks and the neighbors started to wonder if we had moved. It was a heck of a workout b/c I live on a riduclous hill and realized i have alot of work to do to salvage this years tri season but you gotta start somewhere. It just felt good to sweat.

Keep stayingtunes the new episode of the TrGuinness Tricast will be out soon!

Have a great day of training or rest. Slainte
